Lena is crawling. Fully navigating her way around, wherever she pleases. Today she crawled out of her room and down the hall.
There's an upside and a downside to this newly found mobility -
The upside: I don't have to try so hard to entertain her, she's able to explore the world around her on her own terms. She's always been energetic, squirmy and doesn't like to sit still, so this is wonderful. She can crawl around and do her own thing.
The downside: now I have to baby proof. Yesterday I found her grabbing a wire, chewing on some plastic garbage of some sort, and crawling towards the stairwell. Time to set up gates, locks, wire covers, outlet covers ugh I just don't even know where to start.
Carmy on the other hand is content to sit quietly and take books out of a basket, and put them back in. Take books out, put them back in. Out, in, while Lena does her spastic crawl all over the place, trying to find new things to get into. I don't know what I'm going to do once Carmy starts moving - Trouble! One will go in one direction, the other in another direction - I feel out of control already! I need baby leashes!

Thats exciting! Im sure Lena is so happy she can explore now! :)
Dont get too overwhelmed with safety stuff - Start with cupboard locks for dangerous stuff, outlet covers and a baby gate. You probably wont need all the other junk until later - doorknob covers, toilet lock, fridge/stove lock etc...
