One Thing About Two...

Wow, my entries are really becoming quite inconsistent. We are much busier than usual over here and my mind has been elsewhere. I thought today I'd write a quick One Thing About Two post.

Lena loves Carmy's Chameleon too!
As the girls become more and more interested in their toys (and everything around them, and everything I'm holding), I am starting to forsee the sharing issues that are going to arise. Usually they both want the same toy, the hot items are a plastic container, teething keys, Carmy's Chameleon and a rattle (thankfully, we have two of the same rattle). I am starting to wonder if I will need two of their favourite toys. As soon as they see the aforementioned coveted item, both reach out for it and I don't know who to give it to! I am trying not to have to much "stuff" or toys, but I'm wondering how do other moms with two do it? I imagine it's a relatively similar issue for children of different ages. Do I really have to buy two of some toys?

That is an adorable picture of the two of them. I can really see Orlando in Carmen. Maybe it's her smile :)

We tend to have two of a lot of toys, and two in different colours doesn't always work, cause they both favor one colour! I've found that my girls really like having the same things a lot of the time, and then once it gets old and boring one goes to the thrift store. Two similar toys sometimes works, but they quickly get to the point where they know who's is who's and become very possessive. Twins become very good at sharing if you just make it non-optional, and they get used to it quickly because they realize that that means their sister has to share with them too. But we have doubles of things that we really don't need doubles of.

Haha, I just had to take a break from writing this to help my girls tie up their aprons, and after doing so they informed me that neither one liked the colour that they had and they wanted to trade. So, we undid them and traded, now they are playing "cooker girls" in the other room. :)

Don't worry, they'll be good at sharing, they share you, don't they?

Luke said Lena really looks like Linda's mom, once he said it I could really see it.
