Things To Be Grateful For

Sometimes I make lists of my positive and negative thinking just so I can focus on things to be grateful for. Some typical negative thoughts include:
"What did I do to my life?" "I am desperate for sleep" "I wish I had my freedom back"
If focused on too much, these negative thoughts become so heavy my whole body feels depressed. Sometimes I panic. Sometimes it's too much. Last night was horrific, so what better day than to focus on positive thinking:
"You only HAVE to do this once in your life"... which changes to something even more positive "You only GET to do this once in your life".
"This too shall pass"
"We are all healthy, and for the most part we are happy"
"We have an amazing family to support us"
"Keep on, keep on, keep on"
"Two little girls think you are the most amazing person in the world. Just seeing you makes them light up."
"Eventually, they will sleep and so will you. In the meantime, there is coffee."

Video chat with daddy while he's at work
Two faces to wash, and four dirty hands
Two insistent voices, making demands
Twice as much crying, when things go wrong
Four eyes closing, with slumber song
Twice as many garments, blowing on the line
Two cherubs in the wagon, soaking up sunshine
Work I do for twins, naturally comes double
But four arms to hug me, repay all my trouble. - Anonymous

Great post Loranda. Thanks for writing regularly, and sharing your experience with us. It's an experience so few of us will actually have for ourselves. All the pictures you post in the blog are so beautiful. Today's photo is especially touching.

You are doing an amazing job, hugs from Montreal. OXOXO.

You taught me so much with this entry. I made a list of my positive and negative thinking before I went to bed last night and it completely transformed the way I was viewing a problem. I had a great day at work today because of it. Thank you for this dose of perspective.
